Apparently he saw this while traveling today:
I’m 99.9 % sure that’s the new MQ-25 Stingray refueling drone... casually being towed down the highway by a semi?
As seen through the windshield of his Ford Fusion Hybrid.

It’s a Stingray, so I’m pretty sure it’s the new mid engined C8 bro.

I don’t know what kind of mental block it is, but I always underestimate how big some UAVs are. The ‘Ray is an absolute unit.

When you think about the fact that it’s a refueling tanker it s massive size makes sense.

Good to know automakers put way more effort into disguising upcoming models than the USN regarding new drones.

The no windows thing and the consumer grade stuff can be carried by hand means that the only experience you likely had is with RC flying vehicles is with ones that can be picked up by hand. Usually in pictures there’s nothing to show scale either.

Right? At least Lockheed built trailers for the A-12s when they moved them out to Groom Lake:

Looks like a full scale test article. Landing gear doesn't look functional. Maybe wind tunnel or radar testing? Can I ask where this was? Looks like somewhere outside St Louis
